Schedules

Pool Hours & Information

One pool, twenty lanes, and everything that happens in them. This is the same schedule the front desk works from — not a summary of it.

This week in the water

Live

Every program in the water today, with the number of lanes it has. Tap Day to see the same thing lane by lane, or Week for the whole week. The Pools and Configs menus switch between the short-course and long-course setups — Sunday is long course, the rest of the week short.

Tap any entry for its full detail. In Day the grid drags sideways for lanes 11–20. The closed hours either side of the day are filtered out of this view; the Filter row turns any program on or off.

This replaces three tables and a footnote. The page used to post a headline “Mornings 5:30 AM – 8:00 AM”, then a second block of afternoon times, then a note beginning “**8/24-10/16 BEGIN BHS P.E. UNIT (REDUCED ALTERNATE SCHEDULE…)” listing a different lunch hour for each weekday. All of that is in the calendar, on the right days. When the P.E. unit ends on October 16 the calendar goes back to the regular 11:00–1:15 midday by itself on Monday, October 19; the footnote stays on the page until someone remembers to delete it.

What the hours could not tell you

The posted hours are true. They are just not the whole answer, because a 20-lane pool is rarely doing one thing at a time.

Monday, 5:35 AM

The hours say lap swim runs 5:30 – 8:00 AM. At 5:35 there are three lanes of the twenty: Masters has lanes 4–10 and the senior group has 11–20. At 7:15 the whole pool opens up.

Lunch, Monday to Friday

Posted as 11:00 AM – 1:15 PM. It is really 12:10–1:10 Monday, 11:35–12:35 Tuesday, 12:30–1:30 Wednesday — the high school bell moves it, and the calendar moves with it.

Thursday evening

8:00 – 9:00 PM is lap swim on lanes 1–7, with prep groups in 8–12 and masters water polo across the far end. On Friday the same hour is ten lanes. Same headline, different pool.

Their own page already says this. Under “Please Note”: “Please check the specific program you are interested in for detailed scheduling information. Program times may vary and some activities have their own dedicated schedules!” That sentence is a description of the problem. The calendar is the fix — the detail lives in one place and every program page draws from it.

The same calendar, on each program's page

Every program page used to carry its own copy of the times, or none at all. In this preview they carry a filtered view of the one calendar above, so there is nothing to keep in sync.

Please note

No access to the pool deck before start time. Please leave promptly at finish time.

Short course is 25 yards, long course is 50 meters. Monday afternoon through Saturday the pool is short course; Sunday is long course all day. (8/24–10/16: Sundays only — no Monday AM long course.)
