SCUBA

Welcome to the underwater adventure! UCSB sits in one of the premier diving locations on the California coast, and dives in the Channel Islands National Park are rich with marine life and kelp forests. The instructors have over 90 years of combined experience.

SCUBA – Open Water Certification

For people with no diving experience. Completing the course earns an internationally recognized NAUI Open Water SCUBA certification. On-campus classroom and pool sessions are followed by five ocean dives (one skin dive and four SCUBA dives).

Weekday course sessions in the Small Pool and dive well, weekend sessions in the Large Pool.

Weekend sessions use "2 long-course lanes" on the south side; which two is our estimate.
